We are seeking Prison nurses (RMN/RGN) to work in our various prisons and secure settings across England. We are accepting band 5 and 6 staff with prison experience or band 6 staff without prison experience but looking to start working within the setting.


Duties include but are not limited to:

• Assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidenced based healthcare interventions for prisoners within a prison and other secure environment.
• Providing a holistic nursing care to prisoners taking account of cultural and spiritual needs/beliefs.
• To carry out risk assessment of service users, and plan care accordingly.
• To maintain high standard of care, administration of medications, health promotion and support for inmate.

• Full Time or Part Time contracts available
• Prison Clearance preferred but not essential for the correct candidate
• Days and Nights are available

Workplace Type: Locum Job Category : Doctor Location : London Contact Person : info@reliable-healthcare.com Main Duties/Responsibilities • Carry out new assessments, deliver therapy or sign post to other healthcare disciplines for relevant interventions, or to follow up prisoners for medication reviews. • Formulate care and treatment plans, prescribe various types of treatment, and provide guidance on evidence-based treatment and effectiveness. • Provide effective support to patients and their families, communicating clinical information to explain a diagnosis and treatment options using various methods to ensure full understanding. • Communicate with patients and the wider multidisciplinary team on shared patient decision making. • Work with and lead a multidisciplinary team. • Assess and prioritise patient/client requirements, delegating effectively to others. • Recognise, review, and report a patient's condition and any changes to the patient and the multidisciplinary team. • To carry out basic administrative and clerical tasks, such as keeping records of test results, writing prescriptions, providing information to patients, and monitoring treatment plans. • Help teach, supervise and train other junior doctors and medical students and other multidisciplinary team member
